The German Tourist
I went in search of a
Tropical paradise
And found it in my motherland
Where I'd grown up as a lonely young boy
The slow simple lifestyle
The beautiful beaches and warm sunshine
Gradually transformed me from a ragged hyena into a serene
Snail
Day after day, I frolicked in the
Surf
Carefree and innocent
As happy as a child
Suddenly he swept through my life
Majestically
Like a typhoon of passion
Shattered logic and common sense
Ravaged my innocence
Demolished my newly formed tranquil
Shell
With utmost ease!
Naked
Vulnerable
My emotions in a raging tempest
I reverted back to a lowly hyena
Humbly brought to my knees by this magnificent
Lion
Should I follow him to Berlin
Which is dreary, cold, and morose?
Or should I stay alone in my tropical paradise
But may never see him again?
Tormented
I think of him night and day
Miss him every minute
Recalling all the little things we used to do...
No lonely hyena ever survives a brutal
Mauling
By a big strong male lion!
